Adolescence is a period of physical and psychological growth of one's body. It is very important to take care of their health during this period. But due to lack of education, girls do not get proper attention and health care during this period and the problem persists in a huge part of our country especially in villages and underprivileged areas.
Improvement in Adolescent health is necessary for the economic and social growth of a country. That is why investing in adolescent health is important. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India had launched a new initiative for adolescent health program named Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram. The program targets strengthening the health system by proper effective communication, capacity building, monitoring, and evaluation.
To successfully implement this project, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare partnered with Indev Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. for a supporting software solution. A mobile application and a web-based dashboard were developed for this project. A survey was being conducted in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand.
