About Building Back to Business (B3C)

In the current spread of COVID-19, the Government of India initially restricted meetings, social gatherings, and travel, before declaring a nation-wide lockdown. Apart from essential sectors, business activity, in particular in manufacturing and productive sectors, has come to an abrupt standstill. With the prospect of gradual lifting of sanctions, businesses are expected to restart operations. This will be a challenge as markets and supply chains for goods, services and labor have been thoroughly disrupted and working capital and business confidence dented. Moreover, the global economy entered a recession. In particular, MSMEs are ill-equipped to getting back into the business.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is supporting the Government of India and the business sector to achieve inclusive and sustainable industrial development, with a particular focus on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in manufacturing and associated productive sectors.

UNIDO is taking the initiative to create an online knowledge and business support portal to assist MSMEs, particularly from the manufacturing sector, in getting back into the business. Indev joined the initiative as a technical partner of UNIDO. The portal consists of ideas and a roadmap to bring business on track, business areas where one can improve themselves, webinars, resource papers, Annual reports which will be helpful for an organization to sustain in the post lockdown phase.
