Indev Consultancy proudly exhibited its innovative Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS)-based TB treatment adherence monitoring system at the India Innovation Summit 2025: Pioneering Solutions to End TB, held on March 18-19 at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in New Delhi.

The summit, inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel was jointly organized by DHR-ICMR in collaboration with the Central TB Division (CTD), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW). The summit was co-hosted with The Union with the support of the Gates Foundation. The event aimed to accelerate India’s mission to eliminate TB by 2025, bringing together more than 1,200 participants from academia, industry, healthcare, and research sectors.

The IVRS-based TB treatment adherence monitoring system stood out among more than 200 innovations exhibited at the Summit. Since TB treatments are required to be strictly followed and are very focused on medication, the IVRS system serves as an effective method for patients to stay compliant. The system operates by making automated daily calls as reminders for the patients to take their medications. Once a dose is missed, all the follow-up calls will be triggered and reasons for non-adherence. A real-time dashboard enables healthcare providers to check the progress of individual patients and invoke intervention at necessary times, thereby opening timeliness in the provision of medicines and reducing dropouts from treatment. The medicine replenishment alerts to frontline healthcare workers to arrange doorstep delivery, allowing proactive intervention. The call centre support for grievance redressal enables smooth operations.

The IVRS system has already demonstrated its impact by successfully monitoring more than 1.25 Lakh TB patients spread across 15 districts in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The system witnessed an astounding success rate with an 80% improvement rate in medication adherence among patients. It has been awarded several prestigious awards, like the SKOCH and India Health Award increasing its acclaim as a game changer in TB adherence treatment. This system tackles some of the bigger issues, which include missed doses, unreliable tracking, and social stigma, allowing no patient to be left behind in the fight against TB.

Indev Consultancy's innovation aims to contribute to India's National TB Elimination Program (NTEP), which works to eradicate TB from India by 2025. The innovation could become a promising solution for other high-burden TB districts, owing to its cost-effectiveness, easy implementation, and scalability factors. Meanwhile, Indev Consultancy continues to enhance the IVRS platform by incorporating AI medication tracking, multiple languages, and smart app usage so that the system becomes more powerful and accessible to high-risk patients. The much-acclaimed India Innovation Summit also brought forth many other innovative solutions to further strengthen the arms against TB in detection and treatment.

The summit emphasized India’s commitment to harnessing scientific innovations and new technologies for the battle against tuberculosis and the role of public-private partnerships in scaling solutions nationwide.

Indev Consultancy remains committed to the mission through creating scalable, technology-driven solutions that will empower healthcare workers and produce better outcomes for patients. The IVRS-based monitoring system demonstrates how strong the innovation has become for tackling complex health problems. With escalating collaboration and support for stakeholders, India is moving closer to a TB-free future.
